
¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµAnnounces Promotions in Bermuda and Dublin Excess Casualty ÓÈÎïÊÓÆµBusiness

¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµtoday announced two senior promotions within its Excess Casualty ÓÈÎïÊÓÆµbusiness.
Effective immediately Vivienne Moniz and Elaine Scully have been appointed as Head of Excess Casualty, Bermuda and Head of Excess Casualty, Dublin, respectively.
Their responsibilities will include driving strategic growth and operational objectives within their regions and ensuring the highest degree of underwriting standards and profitability while maintaining superior broker and client satisfaction.
Ms Moniz, who will report to XL Bermuda Ltd Chief Executive Officer, ÓÈÎïÊÓÆµPatrick Tannock, has more than 15 years of industry experience. She has held progressively senior roles within the company including most recently Head of Healthcare, Bermuda. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Business, specializing in International Business from the University of LaTrobe, Melbourne Australia and Associate in Claims and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters designations.
Ms Scully, who will report to ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµÓÈÎïÊÓÆµPresident, Global Excess Casualty Donnacha Smyth, has more than 11 years of industry experience. Prior to her new role she was Senior Underwriter, Vice President on the Excess Casualty team in Dublin. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors, specializing in International ÓÈÎïÊÓÆµand European Studies from the University of Limerick in Ireland, the Construction Risk and ÓÈÎïÊÓÆµSpecialist (CRIS) certification from the International Risk Management Institute and the ACII designation from the Chartered ÓÈÎïÊÓÆµInstitute.
Commenting on the promotions, Mr. Smyth said: “The fact that Elaine and Vivienne are willing and able to step into these leadership positions underscores AXA XL’s bench strength.
