¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵÓÈÎïÊÓƵtoday announced the appointment of Laura García García as Marine Underwriter, Iberia, based in Madrid. In this role, she will play a key part in the development and management of AXA XL’s Marine insurance portfolio in Spain.

We are developing the team in Spain so we can support this growth and remain a partner of choice for marine insurance, for our clients and their brokers.”

She is an experienced insurance professional with expertise in both underwriting and broking, which positions her ideally to understand our clients’ needs and help deliver our strategy for marine insurance in Iberia.”

Laura García García has more than 15 years of experience in the insurance sector. She started her career as a credit insurance specialist at Atradius and then Euler Hermes. She joined Willis Towers Watson as a broker in 2010 and started working for Zurich ÓÈÎïÊÓƵCompany in 2014 where she held several underwriting roles before specializing as a Marine Underwriter. She holds a degree in English Philology from the University of the Basque Country and is currently studying towards a Masters in Shipping Business Administration and Logistics from the Spanish Maritime Institute.
