¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµÓÈÎïÊÓÆµtoday announced it has appointed Mauro Lorenzi as Senior Underwriter, Trade Credit and Jana Salacinska as Selling Underwriter, Trade Credit.

Mr. Lorenzi and Mrs. Salacinska report to Roberto de Palma whose remit has been expanded to include the responsibility of short-term Trade Credit insurance, in addition to Financial Lines and Art & Specie. They will be supported by AXA’s Global Trade Credit ÓÈÎïÊÓÆµHub in Switzerland, which includes a number of experts specialising in the Italian market.

The Trade Credit team offers short-term trade credit insurance solutions designed to help protect businesses against losses resulting from the financial default of their customers. These solutions include preventive services such as support in the evaluation of new customers or new markets.

Saverio Longo commented: “According to CERVED, more than 9,000 companies filed for bankruptcy in Italy in 2021, and many more become insolvent every year. These events can have significant knock-on effects on these business’ creditors. We’re building out our local short-term trade credit business to continue to help our clients address these risks and operate more confidently.”
