¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵhas announced the following people have joined its UK Life, Accident & Health (A&H) team:

- Mark Campbell joins as Underwriting Manager, Wholesale Accident & Health.

- David Walker joins as Class Underwriter, Wholesale Accident & Health.

Mark Campbell has been appointed to the role of Underwriting Manager, Wholesale A&H. In his new role, he will oversee AXA XL’s UK wholesale A&H underwriting operation, with responsibility for driving profitable growth across the portfolio. He will report to Patrick Corbett, Chief Underwriting Officer, Life, A&H at AXA XL.

Mr. Campbell has more than 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry, after joining Gow-Gates ÓÈÎïÊÓƵBrokers Pty Ltd. as an assistant account executive in 1998. Following stints at Marsh Pty Ltd. and Accident & Health International Underwriting Pty Ltd, he moved to Sirius International ÓÈÎïÊÓƵCorp. as a deputy underwriter, A&H in 2009. He joins ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵfrom Aspen ÓÈÎïÊÓƵUK Ltd., where has worked as a senior underwriter since 2015.

David Walker has been appointed as Class Underwriter, Wholesale A&H. He joins from Pembroke Managing Agency, where he worked most recently as a personal accident underwriter. Mr. Walker brings with him more than 28 years’ experience, during which he held broking and underwriting roles at C.E. Heath Ltd, Johnson & Higgins ÓÈÎïÊÓƵBrokers, Aon Ltd, Tyser ÓÈÎïÊÓƵBrokers and Argo International. He will report to Mark Campbell.

In addition, the following ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵcolleagues have been appointed to new roles:

- Toni LePine is appointed Global Product Leader, Retail Accident & Health.

- Andrew Maynard is appointed Global Product Leader, Aircrew, Ships Crew & Mobility Health Benefits.

- Iain Rowe is appointed as Underwriting Manager, Life.

Toni LePine has been appointed Global Product Leader, Retail A&H, with responsibility for driving the development of innovative new insurance solutions and managing underwriting policies, guidelines and procedures for AXA XL’s retail A&H division. She will undertake her new role in addition to her existing position as Head of Retail A&H, UK & Ireland. Ms. LePine has spent most of her 30-year underwriting career specialising in A&H and joined XL Catlin in 2016.

Andrew Maynard has been appointed as Global Product Leader, Aircrew, Ships Crew & Mobility Health Benefits. He has relocated back to London from Singapore and undertakes his new role in addition to that of Head of A&H, Asia, which he has undertaken since 2018. Mr. Maynard has held various underwriting roles during a career spanning almost 40 years and joined Catlin Underwriting Agencies in 2007.

Both Mr. Maynard and Ms. LePine will be part of AXA XL’s Global A&H Leadership Team and report to Patrick Corbett.

Iain Rowe has been appointed to the role of Underwriting Manager, Life. In his new role, he will manage the underwriting operation for ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵÓÈÎïÊÓƵLife Syndicate 3002, with responsibility for the P&L, strategic growth and development of the business. He will report to Patrick Corbett.

Having begun his career in insurance in 1999 as a medical underwriter at Unum ÓÈÎïÊÓƵCompany, Mr. Rowe went on to join Legal & General in 2006, where he most recently undertook the role of head of medical underwriting (group protection). He joined XL Group as a class underwriter in 2012.
