¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵhas announced a series of new appointments within its India Branch, underscoring its commitment to the Indian market and supporting its growth ambitions in the region. These additions follow the recent onboarding of Alok Shukla, who officially assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer of XL ÓÈÎïÊÓƵCompany SE – India Reinsurance Branch on April 1, 2025.

Based in Mumbai, the new team members bring a breadth of technical expertise across underwriting, claims, and operations, enhancing AXA XL’s ability to deliver tailored facultative solutions to clients and brokers in India.

• Saurabh Bhootara joined on April 1, 2025, as Property, Energy, and Construction Underwriter. He brings over 15 years of experience in property and engineering underwriting and risk assessment, most recently with Liberty Mutual.
• Priya Manchanda joined on April 8, 2025, as Claims Specialist. She brings a decade of insurance industry experience, including four years of direct engagement with clients and brokers. She joins from WTW India.
• Vinod Kumar joined on May 6, 2025, as Assistant Underwriter. A current ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵemployee, he brings over 13 years of experience in risk management across Cyber, Casualty, and Property lines.
• Saumitra Sharma joined on May 12, 2025, as Chief Underwriting Officer. He brings 20 years of multifaceted experience across underwriting, risk engineering, reinsurance, and claims. He joins from Swiss Re.
• Akash Jain joined on May 14, 2025, as Underwriting Assistant. He brings 11 years of operational experience, having managed both facultative and treaty programmes at K.M. Dastur Reinsurance Brokers.
